A haiku by Christina Caravoulias and me, upon approaching the Severn River Bridge during the final miles of the Annapolis 10 Miler (cf. BabyGetsNewShoes):
The bridge arches high, Welcoming our weary feet With wide open arms |
and another one I wrote during a late-December run through Rock Creek Park (cf. Winter Wardrobe):
Sunbeams clothe bare limbs In gossamer gowns bejeweled With diamond dewdrops |

Your (& Chris's) poetry is beautiful in its simplicity, Mark!
I remember my 11th Grade English teacher explaining Haiku with this example:
"A wheelbarrow full of rain glistening in the sun": we got the point after some chuckles.
My job entails reducing complex systems into brief, understandable components: the Critical Path Schedule: I love reducing the complex to the simple: as Tears for Fears said: "You've got to break it down again!"
